The 15g of grains arrived looking fresh and active, and my first batch of kefir came out thick and tangy in under 48 hours. The instructions were clear enough that I didn’t have to Google anything, which never happens for me.
I was a little nervous about keeping the grains alive, but the 15g portion in this kit was plenty to get a strong first ferment going. The kefir came out thick and tangy, exactly how I like it, and the grains have already multiplied for my next batch.
My first batch was ready in about 36 hours and the texture came out perfectly thick, no need for any extra straining. The grains themselves are really alive and active, they've already doubled in size after just a few brews.
